Sea World

  • *Dolphin Encounter - SeaWorld’s incredible Dolphin Encounter allows you to touch and feed bottlenose dolphins and learn hand signals used to communicate with them. Whether your pastime of choice is lounging by the pool, an exhilarating jet ski adventure, or a bike ride along the bay, Paradise Point Resort & Spa offers a multitude of recreational activities for all ages. This tropical island resort offers a state-of-the-art fitness center, full-service marina, five swimming pools, and various sport courts and recreational activities for guests looking for the ultimate Southern California beach resort experience.

Special Summer activities include water taxi service to SeaWorld and local beaches, scenic bay cruises, and Dive-In Movie Nights where guests can watch films from a chaise lounge or stretched out on a float at the Main Pool.

When the abundance of choices make it hard to decide, Instant Service can assist guests in planning activities during their stay. From beach bonfires complete with s'mores, to sailing lessons and mini-golf, the list of events and activities available on the island is practically endless and guaranteed to lead to fond vacation memories.

Paradise Point is well-known for its private, full-service marina, located adjacent to the Barefoot Bar & Grill. Here on the shimmering waters of San Diego's Mission Bay, aquatic activities such as sailing, jet skiing, motor boating and kayaking can be learned and enjoyed. Basic operational instruction given at time of rental, and wetsuits and life vests are provided.

  • *SEAWORLD WATER TAXI - Forget waiting in line or dealing with traffic. Grab your park tickets at the Island Market, then head to the dock and hop aboard the Paradise Point Water Taxi. Enjoy the sights of Mission Bay during the 15-minute cruise to SeaWorld, where you'll bypass the crowds and enter through an exclusive back gate. Daily beach service also offered. $10 for adults.
  • *SCENIC BAY CRUISE - Take in the remarkable sights of San Diego by taking to the water with this 60-minute boat tour of Mission Bay. Witness sea lions, pelicans, and other sea life in their natural habitat and gaze at picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean, SeaWorld, Fiesta Island, and the striking downtown San Diego skyline. Departs from Paradise Point daily at 5 PM. Tickets may be purchased at the Island Market and are $15 for adults.
  • *SAILBOATS - Take a leisurely sail around Mission Bay in one of our sloops, ranging from 14 to 25 feet in length. Lessons & skippers are available for the less experienced.
  • *SPEEDBOATS - Choose from our fleet of 6 passenger runabouts. Renter or operator must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license. No previous boating experience necessary. Basic operational instruction provided at time rental.
  • *WATERSKIING & WAKEBOARDING - Our driver takes up to four passengers out in our Ski Nautique competition Ski Boat. All-inclusive package features Water-skis, wakeboards, kneeboards, wetsuits, life vests, gas, oil & instructions. Reservations required.
  • *JET SKIS - Experience the high-speed thrills of our three-person sit-down type personal watercraft. Drivers must be at least 18 years and no one under 12 years of age is allowed to ride on the watercraft. Children riding on the back of the jet skis must meet a minimum height requirement of 36".
  • *KAYAKS - Paddle your way through a day of fun on serene Mission Bay in a single or double kayak.
  • *PADDLEBOARDS - Explore Mission Bay via the latest trend in watersports - stand up paddleboarding. This activity involves standing upright on a large surfboard-like paddleboard and propelling yourself using a single paddle. Great for a unique workout or just a fun day on the bay.
  • *PARADISE SURF ACADEMY Guests of all ages can learn to shred the waves like a local at our San Diego surf school. Every 3-hour class starts with a quick boat ride to Paradise Surf Academy headquarters where our highly experienced staff will teach you everything you need to learn to surf in San Diego. All participants are provided with surfboards, wetsuits, leashes, use of locker rooms and showers, round-trip dock-to-dock transportation, and a year-long membership to the Surfrider Foundation, Paradise Point's official partner in protecting our oceans and beaches. Classes available daily at 12:30 pm.  $110-$140 per person. 

Around the Resort - Activities & Events the Whole Family Will Enjoy Paradise Point offers sports and courts of all sorts for island fun with some competitive edge, as well as beach cruisers and surrey quadracycles to make roaming near and far a breeze. Grab some bocce ball or horseshoes before heading to the beach, or take part in a surf lesson or dive-in movie. Top the night off cozying up to a beach bonfire, stargazing, and roasting s'mores.
  • *SEGWAY TOURS Explore our 44 acre island and over 8 miles of scenic coastal pathways on a one or two-hour Segway tour. Choose from 3 different routes and discover our island's ties to old Hollywood, learn about local flora & fauna, and take in the sights of Mission Bay and Mission Beach. Up to 4 people per tour. Starting at $125 per person.
  • *TENNIS Recently named one of San Diego's top hotels for tennis by USA Today, Paradise Point offers five on-property tennis courts and USTPA-certified coaches. Meet our team of expert instructors here, then arrange private or group lessons through the Island Market. 24 hour advance notice required.
  • *BASKETBALL Daily use of the NBA-regulation basketball court and equipment is included in the Passport to Paradise.
  • *CROQUET & PING-PONG Included in the Passport to Paradise, a 9-wicket croquet course and ping-pong table is located next to the tennis and basketball courts.
  • *THE PUTTING LINKS AT BANANA BEACH An 18-hole putting golf course stretches along the property's main entrance and is a perfect practice ground for aspiring junior PGA pros or a just-for-fun activity for the whole family. Putters and balls are located at the Island Market.
  • *BEACH CRUISER BIKE RENTALS & SURREY QUADRACYCLES Ride around the resort and San Diego in style on our beach cruisers or 4-wheeled quadracycle surreys.   • BONFIRE IN PARADISE Whether you're 5 or 50 years old, there's nothing like the anticipation of gooey s'mores cooked over an open bonfire. Paradise Point has over 12 bonfire pits scattered along the beach and around the property available exclusively for guest use. Head to the Island Market for all the ingredients you need to set up your bonfire and make s'mores.
